In celebrating its 7th anniversary, the NTS Tax Museum opened a special exhibition for 「Land, Distribution and Ownership」 for one year from August 14, 2009. The Exhibition looks at laws, regulations and social customs regarding land in the Joseon Dynasty and puts new lights on the significance and meaning of land in our life.
Audiences will have a chance to see how land was inherited and sold and bought during the Joseon Dynasty through various old documents from that period, including a document which recorded asset distributions and a document which registered land dealings.
For the convenience of foreign audiences, English interpretation will be available from October. If the interpretation service is needed, please call (02) 397-1428~9 to set a time schedule. Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.
