Starting
Sept. 1, 2009, consumers who had cash transactions with 18 specific types of
businesses can search the records of their cash transactions that took place in
the first half of this year on the cash receipt website, www.taxsave.go.kr.

If
taxpayers find out on the cash receipt website that any of their cash
transactions is omitted or under-recorded, they can report the findings from
Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, 2009 to competent district tax offices with documents
attached to prove their transactions. After reviewing, the district tax offices
will provide income deduction on the left-out or under-recorded amount if the
transactions are found to be missed or under-recorded.
