Commissioner
BAEK Yong-Ho of the National Tax Service appointed Lim Soo-kyoung, 48, an executive
at the IT services company LG CNS, as its Assistant Commissioner for Information
System Bureau, part of an effort to promote efficiency in tax administration
and improve its quality of service.
 
The
Commissioner has also appointed Moon Ho-seung, 50, former head of the International
Center for Performance Auditing, an association of government auditors, as the
Assistant Commissioner for Audit and Inspection to further increase transparency
in tax administration.
 
The
Commissioner himself was appointed to the current position from the outside
on July 16, 2009.
 
The
National Tax Service expects that the appointment of the two officials will
help improve the transparency, productivity and quality of tax services.
